On July 7th, Paramo Snacks was awarded first place in the FedEx prize for SMEs (small and medium enterprises) in Colombia, which offers opportunities for growth on an international level for the winning companies.
Paramo Snacks will also form a part of a four week program by AmCham Colombia, in which they will workshop strategies to expand across borders with the goal of popularizing their products internationally. The enterprise also received an $85 million colombian peso prize, which comes with the winning title.
Margarita Cabal, co-founder and executive director of Paramo Snacks, commented that everyone was excited to hear the news, seeing as the prize entails access to opportunities to reach international markets and grow as a company, as well as national recognition as a successful and innovative business.
